Who Runs The
Hillbilly Haunted House
Mr. Dale: Proprietor
Mr. Dale has been working in the haunted attraction arena for going on 25 years. He got his start in the Seattle area volunteering for the KUBE haunted house in the 90s. He won multiple awards for his set designs and scares, and now brings these talents to the inland Northwest as one of the co-creators of the Hillbilly Haunted House, where his skills as a prop maker, set designer, and all around haunt builder bring a level of abject horror to this show.
Miss. Debbie: Proprietrix
The Hillbilly Haunted House is the brainchild of Miss Debbie. Her ability to combine whimsy and terror is what defines the Hillbilly Haunted House. Under her direction the Hillbilly Haunted House has become one of the most enjoyable haunted attractions you will come across. All year round Miss Debbie is thinking up new ways to make each guest scream, laugh, and pee themselves, all at the same time. Her cheerful demeaner will put you at ease right before something horrifying jumps out at you. Trust her at your peril.
Miss. Anna: Volunteer coordinator
(Aka.) Mrs. B. comes to the Hillbilly Haunted House from the Riverside high school where she has been teaching since 2013. As the volunteer coordinator for the Hillbilly Haunted House she is an essential part of the show keeping the volunteers fed, happy and excited to scare the crap out of our guests. Miss. Anna runs the anime and game club at Riverside high school where she is in a unique position to help recruit volunteers for the Hillbilly Haunted House. Every year she convinces Riverside students (mostly freshmen) to come down to the Hillbilly Haunted House and earn their community service credits. Once she gets them hooked on the Haunt it’s almost impossible to get rid of them.
Miss. Rachel: Monster trainer
Miss. Rachel is in charge of teaching all of our high school volunteers how to be evil monsters (being teenagers makes the less of a challenge). Her Hillbilly acting class can turn a well groomed and intelligent person into a back woods yokel in an afternoon (again, teenager = helpful). Keeping the teenage volunteers interested and engaged is similar in difficulty as herding cats, but she is able to accomplish this with remarkably little bloodshed.
Miss Rachel is also in charge of the theatrical portion of the show in which she takes on the roll of House Mom, making sure every monster is in their place, doing their job, having fun, and keeping them all safe.
Miss Jenny (aka Granny): Basically the stage director
Almost everything goes through Miss Jenny once the show is running. Her most noticeable roll is crowd control. You’ll have to go through her to get into the Hillbilly Haunted House. Never over her dead body but If you don’t behave it might be over yours.
Timing is everything at the Hillbilly Haunted House so Miss Jenny will keep you entertained while you wait in line to be let in. But don’t let her charming disposition fool you, it’s all an act! She will either keep you in stiches with fart jokes, or put you in stiches depending on your behavior.
